Why can't I complete the session?

If the “Complete Session” button is disabled, it means there are still pending actions that must be completed before the notarization session can be finalized.

The session can only be completed once all required notary actions and participant actions have been successfully finished.

How to Check What Is Missing

When you hover over the "Complete session button", a tooltip will appear showing the list of remaining actions or incomplete items preventing the session from being completed.

These may include:

  • Missing signatures
  • Incomplete initials
  • Required notary fields not filled
  • Pending participant actions
  • Incomplete annotations or fields
  • Checklist not completed
  • Document remaining to review

Once all required actions are completed, the “Complete Session” button will automatically become enabled.

What To Do Next

  1. Hover over the button to review pending items
  2. Complete all required actions listed in the tooltip
  3. Verify all participants have completed their required fields
  4. Attempt to complete the session again

If the Primary Signer Has Left the Session

If a signer has disconnected or left the session and it's been more than 90seconds, the session may not be completable directly.

In this situation, please contact BlueNotary Support for assistance with completing or resolving the session.

When contacting support, please include:

  • Session ID
  • Brief description of what's showing on your tooltip.

This helps our team assist you more quickly.
