In-Session Checklist

The In-Session Checklist is a powerful tool designed to guide notaries through the critical steps of a notarization session. It ensures that every session is conducted consistently, securely, and efficiently, minimizing the risk of errors and omissions.


What is the In-Session Checklist?


The checklist is a customizable list of tasks that appears on the screen during a live notarization session. The notary must check off each step before they can complete the session, ensuring all required procedures are followed.


Enabling and Customizing Your Checklist


You have full control over the checklist, from enabling the feature to customizing the steps to fit your workflow.


1. Navigate to Settings:

  • From your dashboard, click on Manage in the left-hand navigation menu.
  • The In-Session Checklist settings will be displayed.

2. Enable the Feature:

  • Click the toggle switch next to "Enable In-Session Checklist for your account".

3. Customize Checklist Steps:

  • Once enabled, a list of default checklist steps will appear.
  • Add a step: Click the "Add Step" button to create a new custom item.
  • Remove a step: Click the 'X' icon to the right of any step you wish to remove.
  • Save your changes: Once you are satisfied with your list, click the "Save In-Session Checklist Settings" button.




Using the Checklist During a Session


Once enabled, the checklist will automatically appear on the right-hand side of the screen during every notarization session.

  • As you complete each required action (e.g., confirming the signer's identity, verifying the document), simply click the checkbox next to the corresponding item.
  • This provides a clear visual guide, ensuring you don't miss any crucial steps before finalizing the notarization.



Using the In-Session Checklist promotes best practices and helps guarantee a smooth and compliant notarization experience for both you and your signers.
