How to fill out SOS Sample Document (Texas)
Texas has recently updated its Secretary of State (SoS) document upload process. Please follow the steps below to complete your TX application:
Go to a Digital Certificate provider e.g. Identrust and acquire a Digital Certificate if you haven’t already. From the Identrust homepage, click on Certificate>eNotary Programs>Buy Now>BlueNotary>IGC Notaries Basic Assurance>Select Year and process your request.
Sign in to your BlueNotary account and upload it in the Manage > Digital Certificates + Blockchain section. It should be a .pfx file and you should have received a password along with it.
Download the required document from your Secretary of State's website
Open the document in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (NOT Adobe Reader). You may need to download this (it's free).
Add your signature to the document by clicking the signature spot and export the PDF
Afterward, go to the Session Simulator on your Home page (Dashboard) and upload the fillable document from Texas SoS.
Add your Signature and eSeal beside the signature box on the document using the toolbox on the right side of your screen (drag and drop it into the document).
Finally, click Menu > Complete Session and save the document that pops up. This is the file you will submit for your application.
Your Digital Certificate will be automatically encrypted within your document.
At this point you can now self inspect your Digital Certificate using this method:
