Getting Started As a Notary on Bluenotary

Welcome to BlueNotary! If you're ready to start performing Remote Online Notarizations (RON), the first step is creating your notary account. This guide walks you through the complete sign-up and onboarding process so you can get up and running quickly.


Step 1: Create Your BlueNotary Account

Visit the BlueNotary and click Sign In in the top-right corner. If you don't already have an account, select Don't have an account? Sign Up here.
You'll be asked to enter:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Password


Once you've entered your information, click Sign Up.


Step 2: Verify Your Email Address

After signing up, BlueNotary will send a verification email to the address you provided. Open your inbox and look for the verification email from BlueNotary. If you don't see it within a few minutes:

  • Check your Spam or Junk folder.
  • Make sure you entered the correct email address.
  • Request a new verification email if needed.


Click Confirm my Email Address to activate your account.



Note: You won't be able to continue until your email has been verified.



Step 3: Choose Your Account Type

Once your email has been verified, you'll be asked to select the type of account you'd like to create. Choose Notary and click Next.


Step 4: Complete Your Notary Profile

Next, you'll need to provide some basic information about your notary commission.

Fill in the following fields:

  • Personal Information: Verify your first and last name.
  • State: Select the state where you're commissioned.
  • Commission Number & Expiration Date: Enter your commission details. If you don't have them yet, you can leave these fields blank.
  • County: Select the county where you're commissioned.
  • City: Enter your city.
  • How Did You Hear About BlueNotary?: Select the option that best applies.

Once all required fields are complete, click Create Account to continue.


Step 5: You're In!

Congratulations! 🎉 You'll now be taken to your BlueNotary Dashboard. From here, you can begin exploring the platform and preparing for your first online notarization.

  • Uploading your notary commission
  • Adding your electronic seal (eSeal)
  • Uploading your digital certificate
  • Completing identity verification
  • Setting up your payout information
  • Reviewing your account settings

Completing these items ensures you're fully prepared to conduct remote online notarizations.
