A Same Device Signing session allows multiple signers to complete their signatures using a single shared device. The host signer must join the session from the shared device, and all participating signers will use that same device throughout the signing process.

Notary View

1. Enter the Session - Join the Same Device Signing session and review the document.
2. Add all required signature, initial, date, and other fields before signing begins.
3. Have the Primary Signer Sign -The Primary Signer can complete their assigned fields first.
4. Change Signers

When it's time for another participant to sign:

• Click Change Signer in the top header.
• Select the appropriate signer. Click Change Signer to switch to that participant.

The selected signer will now be able to complete their assigned fields.

5. After all signers have finished signing and all required fields have been completed, apply your notarial signature and seal if required, then click Complete Session to finalize the session.

Signer View

Join the session using the invitation link from the host signer's device.
The steps that follow depend on whether identity authentication is required for the session.

If Authentication Is Skipped

1. Both signers will be prompted to enter their personal details.
2. Once both participants have completed their information, click Close.
3. The currently selected signer will be displayed at the top of the screen. The selected signer can begin signing the document.
4. When another signer needs to sign, the notary will use Change Signer to switch participants.
5. The additional signer can then complete their assigned fields.

If Authentication Is Required

1. Join the session. Both signers must complete identity verification individually.
2. Start Authentication: Each signer should click Start Authentication one at a time.
3. Enter Personal Information. Fill in the required personal details and click Next and then Continue.
4. Answer all KBA questions carefully within the 2-minute time limit, then click Submit.
5. The signer will be prompted to complete ID verification by following the on-screen instructions.
6. Once the first signer has completed authentication, the additional signer should repeat the same process.
7. Sign the Document

After all signers have successfully completed their verification steps, the selected signer can begin signing the document. The notary will use Change Signer as needed until all participants have completed their assigned fields.

Finalizing the Session

Once all required signatures have been completed, the notary can click Complete Session to finalize the notarization.

That's it! The Same Device Signing session is complete.
