Verify a New Device To Sign In

To help keep your BlueNotary account secure, every sign-in attempt from a new or unrecognized device requires device approval.
When a new device is detected, you'll receive an email asking you to verify that the sign-in attempt is yours. Once the device is approved, you can complete the sign-in process.

How It Works

  1. Step 1: Sign In to Your Account - Enter your email address and password on the BlueNotary sign-in page as you normally would.

  1. Step 2: New Device Detected : If you're signing in from a device that hasn't been used before, BlueNotary will detect it as a new device. Instead of signing you in immediately, you'll see a message letting you know that a new device has been detected. The screen will ask you to check your email for a device approval request.

  1. Step 3: Check Your Email :
  • Open the inbox for the email address associated with your BlueNotary account.
  • You'll receive an email notifying you about the new device and asking you to approve it.
  • If you don't see the email, check your Spam or Junk folder.

  1. Step 4: Approve the Device

When you click the Approve Device button. A confirmation page will open in your browser, letting you know that your device has been successfully approved.

  1. Step 5: Return to the Sign-In Page/Tab: Go back to the BlueNotary sign-in page. Your device is now trusted, and you will be signed in into the tab.

Why This Feature Exists

The Approved Devices feature adds an extra layer of security to your account by:

  • Preventing unauthorized access from unfamiliar devices.
  • Alerting you whenever a new device attempts to sign in.
  • Ensuring that only you can authorize new devices to access your account.

Frequently Asked Questions

I didn't receive the approval email.

If you don't receive the email within a few minutes:

  • Check your Spam or Junk folder.
  • Verify that you're checking the correct email account.
  • Wait a few minutes and try signing in again if necessary.
  • If you still don't receive it, contact support.

What if I didn't attempt to sign in?

If you receive a device approval email for a sign-in you don't recognize, do not approve the device. This could indicate that someone else is attempting to access your account.
