# Choosing when to require the identity Authentication (KBA or Biometrics) flow

**Auth Mode Selection**
We offer 2 options for running Identity Authentication (Knowledge-based authentication or Biometrics + ID analysis) for signers:
1. __In Session Auth Flow__ - this flow allows signer to **enter the live meeting first**. Then, if required, the signer will be able to complete KBA/Biometrics+ID in the live session. 
2. __Skip Auth Flow__ - this allows to skip the KBA/Biometrics+ID process completely. *Please only use this if you are certain of your local laws.

| The benefit of #1 'In Session Auth Flow' is that you can guide the signer via video in the live session. You will be able to communicate with them during the process.
